BWA High Tea Spring 2008

Maria Ellis graciously opened her home again for the BWA High Tea. Read your newsletter for a complete report but suffice it to say the ambience was lovely, the pims hit the spot, the food was great. Our entertainment was wonderful singing from Shannon du Plessis followed by the Asia Minors singing Broadway songs with guest appearance of Peter Heath.

Here we see Inna in her winning scarf, Diane strutting her stuff, Gerke ready for the afternoon and Linda collecting money to replenish donated rice from Little Sisters - thanks to you we reached the target of 25 sacks.

Asia Minors sang "food glorious food", "Lulaby of Broadway" and Diane joined them for "My favourite things". Julie looked on in her sauve and sophisticated outfit and there were two members with very interesting and unusual hats.

Thank you to all our members and friends who donned their fabulous hats to grace the afternoon. Sorry we don't have a photo of the fantastic spread of donated food. It was sumptuous.
